A single shutter will naturally cost more per unit than ordering for an entire home, as we’re often able to offer discounts for multiple shutters fitted at once.
Shutters are a premium, made-to-measure product — similar in price to good-quality double glazing. As a very rough guide, you can expect to pay anywhere between £400-£600 per shutter, fully supplied and fitted.

No, we never charge for quotes. At BWD Shutters, we like to keep things simple and efficient. Unlike many companies, we start by asking you to send us photos of the windows you'd like shutters for. This allows us to give you a quick and accurate estimate for the work.
If you're happy with the estimate and we're a good fit for each other, we’ll then arrange a free home visit to take precise measurements, show you samples, and finalise the design.
This approach saves time and makes the process smoother — while still ensuring you get made-to-measure shutters that are perfectly fitted to your home.
Our standard lead time for made-to-measure shutters is typically around 12 weeks, depending on the style and material you choose. This applies to most of our hardwood and custom colour shutters, as they are individually crafted to fit your windows perfectly.
If you need your shutters fitted sooner, we also offer a fast-track option where we can supply and fit faux wood shutters in as little as 3 weeks. This option is ideal if you're working to a tight deadline, though it comes with a more limited range of styles and finishes, and a slightly higher cost.
At BWD Shutters, we offer both hardwood shutters and faux wood shutters (sometimes known as MDF or composite shutters).
